Hello, I am Neil Hampson a 15 year old racing driver from Solihull.
Ever since I was young driving around my dad’s depot and watching drivers like Bobby Thompson in Fiesta juniors and Volkswagen cup as well as watching Bobby and Josh Cook in the BTCC, I have had a huge passion for racing.
I started karting at a race school when I was 8 years old at Daytona Tamworth. After this I did bits of karting never quite committing to a championship until 2022 when I did the BIKC reaching the Local finals.
I also did the BIKC in 2023 where I also reached the local finals but missed out on regionals by 2 places despite having a kart failure in qualifying and being the only driver to make an overtake.
At the start of 2024 I did a season in N35-ST 55mph go karts at Daytona Tamworth and managed to come out on top despite being the only driver in the top 5 without his own race suit.
After this I was allowed to drive the 75mph DMAX go karts after a test session being the youngest driver to race them.
In my first season in DMAX I managed to place 4th despite being the youngest by a margin and going up against a national karting champion and owner kart drivers managing to get a couple podiums in the last 3 rounds.
In my 2nd season I managed an impressive 3rd place despite the same competition.
I have progressed into the fiesta junior championship with BPC Motorsport and have already made some impressive gains on the competition considering my very minimal experience.
